The front yard is complete!

On Sunday afternoon Brodie and I cleared the rest of the path to the new water tank pad. Here are some before and afters from the day.

From the kitchen window

From the front steps

Looking along the deck

And this is looking towards where the tank will go, just near the other one next to the house.

We are a little bit more exposed to the neighbours now but that side of their house is quite private so we aren't too concerned at this stage. The plan is to grow a native hedge/windbreak along the fence line to keep the local birds and us happy. The next step will be digging for the pad! Fun times ahead!

Until next time,

Kat

  1. I'm enjoying watching someone else do the work, we finished, this time, last year. Full-on hard work, but ultimately rewarding (and economical) to get that extra water storage capacity. Great work guys.

    1. Yes it will be all worth it in the end Chris as we will need the water down the track to get our future trees established.

  2. Looks like the sun can reach through too. Would be lovely sitting in the sun on the porch after a long day.

    1. The porch is on the south side of the house, so it is quite the opposite! It is a lovely shady and cool spot at the end of the day. It does get a little of the morning sun which is great for a cuppa or brekky.
